The horses, they say, are the senses; and their paths are the objects of sense. When the soul becomes one with the mind and the senses he is called ‘one who has joys and sorrows.’
He who has not right understanding and whose mind is never steady is not the ruler of his life, like a bad driver with wild horses.

A typical symbolism for the horse is one of an animal representing physical strength, vitality, but also our psychological or emotional ability to go on in life.
Like evoking the spirit of the horse, Yoga will fire your inner strength and driving force in life.

Ashva Power Yoga offers in home private, group, studio and corporate yoga sessions. Various styles of yoga are taught including Vinyasa Flow, Power and Yin to accommodate every student level and interest.
About the Owner/ Teacher
Dana Pupkar has been an avid fitness, equestrian and golf enthusiast for much of her life. When her golf training group started offering weekly Yoga classes she fell in love with the practice after seeing the benefits to her performance mentally and physically. After suffering several injuries in her active lifestyle, Dana was advised to include more Yoga in her rehab program. Seeing the benefits to the body as well as the mind, the practice became a way of life for her. Her passion for Yoga lead Dana to complete a Yoga Teacher Training Program to become a Registered Yoga Teacher, RYT 200. Having a special interest in Yoga for athletes, she strives to help other active (and non-active) individuals benefit from Yoga. Dana teaches a variety of Yoga styles but has created her own Ashva Power Flow, inspired by the strength, vitality and spirit of the horse.
Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension, reduces inflammation, and promotes health and well being. Regular practice will help you create space in your body and your mind. Everyone can practice yoga regardless of fitness level.
Yoga is a great way to improve your endurance in other physical activities and elevate performance. After a run, or heavy workout, yoga will help your body relax while stretching, strengthening, and lengthening the muscles you were just working on. Athletes can enhance their sport through the amazing mind-body benefits of yoga.
Yoga not only helps improve your body, but also helps with mindfulness and meditation. It is important to take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity. Focusing on your breath during practice is key to staying in tune with your mind and body. The clarity gained through practice on your mat will carry into every day life off the mat.
